[FO] Petal Cupcake Pin cushion

I used this tutorial to make it and Michael Miller's cupcakes fabric that I bought from Bellepepper on Etsy.

I used lilac felt for the back and a blueish button I had in my button collection.

I kind of like how it turned out but if I make another I'll stuff it a lot more.

[wip] Dress for BabySister

AMH-dress for Sofia

Pattern from "Allt Om Handarbete" and the fabric is bought on Etsy. It's Chocolate Lollipop by Anna Maria Horner in a green colourway.
I bought a yard of it in pink as well and I cut out a dress for BigSister too. That's another wip though.

This one is finished almost. It needs heming and a button in the neck. The button I have and I'll serge the edge of the dress at my aunt's on Saturday and then hem it at home on Sunday.
Maybe BigSister's dress can be serged as well on Saturday - we'll see. Not counting on it though.

[FO] Tote bag with asian accents

[FO] Tote bag with asian accents

I wanted a pretty tote bag to hold a sketch pad, some pens and other miscellaneous stuff.

I found the asian inspired fabric at a Quilter's store near my office and got a fat quarter of it.
The striped fabric is a cotton/polyester blend I bought to make a nappy bag that I never got around to actually do.

The dimensions of the bag are 35 by 27 cm.

I didn't have enough of the accent fabric to line the bag with so I used this instead:

It's a cotton fabric with little kimono girls. It's a slight clash of cultures I guess (Japan/China) but I think it worked.

I lined the handles with a scrap of the outer accent fabric.

I should have attached the handles earlier so the thread wouldn't show on the outside but I forgot. This will have to do for now.

[FO] Needle case made for a friend for Mother's Day

A friend saw a needle roll I made for my DPN's and asked me to make one for her.

She requested Michael Miller's Knit Pirates for it but also said it was rare and hard to find and left it up to me to make something.
I actually found the fabric quite easily on Etsy and it's lovely. I have enough left over to make a roll for myself as well.

It's PVC-coated cotton in black and white baroque pattern with a black cotton lining.

I added a crumb catcher and the neck strap closes with a piece of sewn on velcro.

I made this tea cosy in felted wool.

It was a breeze to make, just cut out the pieces and sew together with blanket stitch.

I'm making another and I'm gonna try to felt the pieces together and see if it's strong enough.
